Regency Park

This trail is pretty new, several alternate routes you can go, I don't know if they all lead to the end. Lots of uphill action, but not any ditches or drop-offs. Very windy paths, and good markings in case you get off track.

Summary:
Alas regency park is no more, development has overtaken it and ruined it. Essentially unrideable so look for something else. Too bad it was a pretty good workout.

Summary:
i just rode this trail for the first time today...and i met somebody on the trail and told me about this site...first of all, i love the trails, even though i didnt go on much of it becuase i thought that i might of gotten lost, and didnt have much time yo spend. But what i went on was incredible...there are some trails for beginner riders, while there are others for advanced riders. However, I would like to go on this trail again as soon as i can, but i need a map...so if anybody has a map of these trails, please email it to me at fmach7@yahoo.com thanks alot

Recommended Route:
if you would prefer a more scenic route, then i would recommend that you enter the trail through one of two entrances that are off of the path around the lake

Summary:
Rode this for the first time today. Meet a guy in the parking lot named Luke that gave me a map of the trails which helped tremendously. I don't think there is a way to get lost since all of the trails are bounded by some major roads but a map helps.

Rode the "new" trails which are on close to the powerlines. Nice, fast trails with only one serious hill.

The "old" trails which are through the concrete barriers at the end of Regency Parkway are an intertwined bunch of trails. Intersections occur frequently. Some nice stunt work here. There are some 3-4' drops built over downed trees. All of the stunts seem to be well built out of lumber. A real nice "log walk" where someone skinned the top of a downed tree and made cross sections in it for some traction. A 3-4' drop built over this downed tree as well. Trails are ridden-in well which makes them fast.

Recommended Route:
Feels like you would need to ride these trails many times to develop a route that worked well.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
3 chilis for the Aerobic. Not a whole lot of climbing here but the usual fast up and down.
4 chilis for the technical difficulty if you include the stunts. I would reserve a 5 for something like Moab.
4 chilis for overall rating. Compared to all the other trails in this area, this one is a blast. I would reserve a 5 for something like New Light Road trails.

Summary:
Tried out Regency for the first time this past weekend with a much more experienced buddy. From the perspective of being a fairly new rider, the trails were not overly difficult, but very hilly. I found myself having to rest after some of the longer hill climbs, but my buddy didn't seem to have a problem :-)
The terrain had some interesting characteristics including a creek crossing (yes, with water), and several fairly steep drop-offs. Did I mention the hills? Good scenery if you just want to get out in nature for the day.

One request: Trail maps would really help newcomers become more familiar with the area.

Recommended Route:
Turn right just before you get to the concrete barriers. Good trail system to start with. After that, head past the barriers and keep on trucking.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Legend Park (Clayton).
