Ridden Trail: Please Select

, from Durham, NC Summary: Very good, short climb for the amount of downhill/flat. Almost all of downhill is ridge riding, and is extremely rooty and rocky. 15 mph is max suggested speed. I had a friend go off the side from hitting a root wrong and it was quite a fall down the mountain. Other than that, be careful, and its a great ride!! Recommended Route: start trail at back end of campground and finish at ampetheatre parking.

, from Wallingford CT Summary: Nice moderate climb followed by an awesome singletrack section through a rhodedendron tunnel. Some very steep technical sections. Too short, though. A good ride to squeeze in when you don't have lots of time. Recommended Route: See below Other recommended trails in the same area: Bent creek

, from Chapel Hill, N.C. Summary: Great little ride. This was the last trail I got to do before I (sadly) had to head back to the flat land. The counterclockwise loop is just enough of a burning climb. The top section reminds of a mini Laurel Mountain. Riding right on the edge of a drop off with the rhododendoron (sp) tunnels. Combine this ride with Sycamore and you have a full morning of fun. Recommended Route: Ride it clockwise for a gradual climb and bomber downhill, or counterclockwise for the steeper climb. Other recommended trails in the same area: Check out Sycamore Cove across the highway.
