Cross Country Rider Summary: Very good trail. Not too technical however you can increase the challenge by how fast you ride it. A very fast trail in sections with tight single track in others. Overall a great trail. Great job Trail Blazers. Recommended Route: 1st parking lot left across small bridge. Clockwise however I understand it's bi-directional. Other recommended trails in the same area: Col Francis Beatty off I-485

Weekend Warrior Summary: Pros: -Great for beginners.
-Marked Well.
Cons:-There are no technical areas at all (there is one stack of logs that is hard to be considered technical).
-People running with dogs get in your way a lot.
-The trail is never dry, so prepare to wash your bike. Recommended Route: Either way, really doesn't matter. Other recommended trails in the same area: Fisher Farm, Poplar

, from /\/( Summary: like the sign says...don't ride after a rain...you will just pedal through mud anyway and mess up the track. Recommended Route: I agree...i know this is an xc trail and most those guys are out there to build lungs of steel but you would think even they would want to catch a little air every now an then?!? I bet their bikes wouldn't mind;) All the trails in this area are up/down with obstacles sprinkled in. And don't tell me to ride the track at Catawba bc/ I am talking about cool options on singletrack....something alot of us riders would enjoy. Me and some friends would do the work ourselves (built tracks in S. Cali) but we know better, and we aren't going to mess with someone elses hard work. just keep all riders in mind is all= freeride/xc.

, from Huntersville Summary: The guys who maintain this trail have side-stepped the swamp problem by building bridges, or log crossings over extremely muddy areas. Thanks!! It is what this trail needs anyways...a little variety. The bridge drop off is another cool option. How about a couple of table tops, or whoops on the first straight stretch of single track (where that little jump is starting to erode)? There is room on that left side! Just a thought. Recommended Route: either direction is ok.
