Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Cross Country Rider Summary: I have only ridden this trail once but I thought it had a lot to offer. It had many hard climbs so it is definitely an aerobic workout. You will need good bike handling skills because there are lots of tight turns and tricky jumps heading into turns. You probably need to go somewhere else if it is wet. I liked this trail better than hobby park.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: I have been cleaning up the trail all summer and have begun to gravel the muddy spots to make it more durable and rideable following wet weather. It is much more enjoyable now than it has been for a few years. Try it out. Advanced riders can really enjoy this trail too by doing multiple laps. It's technical and speedy sections are spaced well, so the relatively short length isn't really noticeable. I think it is a compact version of Hobby Park, perhaps even a little more technical these days. It's a "sleeper" trail that isn't too far from town. Shorter length is ideal for after work rides, just add or subtact laps as time permits. Beginners can do well here too with the bypass sections that are available, then add length as experience grows. Recommended Route: It is well marked and has bypass sections to shorten it substantially for beginners. Firsttimers take a minute to review sign markings at trailhead. Take a practice lap or two to learn the route, then let'er rip. It is very compact, so you are never very far from the parking lot. If you ride it fast all the way from the parking lot, you won't be dissapointed with 3.8 mile trail length. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hobby Park, Tanglewood, Westwood Park

Weekend Warrior Summary: I ride this trail regularly, but mostly for variety. I have never been able to fall in love with this course. Though there are lots of sections I do enjoy, it isn't as much fun as Hobby or Tanglewood. Maybe it's the long uphill the the parking lot after it's over. Does require good bike handling skills and will give a great aerobic workout.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Nice trail. A little under used, therefore overgrown, but not a problem to navigate. Good workout! Lots of wildlife.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Kernersville, NC, US Summary: First key tidbit: Some dingus bent the sign near the dip around, so instead of pointing riders who just hit the dip back onto the main trail, it points riders coming towards the dip to ride up it the wrong way. Upon closer inspection, the sign is clearly twisted coming out of the ground. This is a cool trail, and like others have said, is a good alternative to Hobby Park and Tanglewood. It does get pretty muddy, and some climbs and obstacles are a bit difficult when moist. There's one pain in the ass log pile that's at an angle to the trail on a hill. There are many tight turns that make it hard to carry speed. I'd definitely like to see more trail here. Thanks to those who cleaned it up after the winter storms. Please send me an e-mail if you're doing manitenance or additions here. Recommended Route: Counterclockwise, follow "T" route Other recommended trails in the same area: Hobby Park, Tanglewood, Owl's Roost, Bald Eagle, Country Park
