Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Mebane Summary: I'm sorry if you had to come all the way down here for nothing.......Industries develop, apartment complexes go up, roads go in......all that stuff takes our trail away from us. None of which I can control. After aforementioned development took place, I rerouted everything back there, and added some new sections, giving a total of about three miles. It ain't much, but then again, the available land that's left to work with, is rapidly shrinking with each passing month. I think I can squeeze about another two or three miles out of it if I'm extremely lucky, but if you're coming here planning on a kick-ass, lung-burning experience, then you need to pause, take a deep breath, and go somewhere else. Recommended Route: Trailhead is a bit obscure to keep curiosity down, but all the development has forced a complete reroute of the trail system. As you go in the main Post Office entrance road, look to the left about 40 feet down from the stone pillar. Trail is marked in ribbons.

, from Mebane Summary: I took my first trip through these trails in about six months yesterday. They are still holding up well, despite some recent commercial development that will eventually take out a large portion of the back half of these trails. I plan on building some small stunts and logrides out here as there are a lot of fallen trees that are just begging to be shaped into something cool. The area is largely used by a few four-wheelers in the neighborhood, so a few navigational bridges need to be built to negotiate some of the creeks that the 4-wheelers plow through. All in all, there's about 3 miles worth of stuff that's average to ride. Nothing special now, but give me until this summer, and some kick ass things will be developing. More to come. Recommended Route: Park at the post office, and ride down into the trails.

, from Mebane Summary: Mostly ATV-made trails, but a few locals starting to latch on. Trails are mostly random, but offer some difficult creek crossings and powerline rides. If you explore a little, you can find the farm field access roads that offer miles of scenic NC piedmont countryside. If you are looking for serious rides, keep driving to Chapel Hill(Estes Rd.) or Owls Roost in Greensboro. This is mostly just a local goof-off ride, something to do when you don't feel like packing up everything and driving. Ride safe. Recommended Route: Take Mebane(hwy 119)exit off of I-40. Go down 1/4 mi. and take left onto Foust rd. Take a right onto 3rd. st. and look for the Post Office 300 yds. on left. Park at the post office or the dead end road next to it. Other recommended trails in the same area: Owls Roost(Greensboro) Estes Rd.(Chapel Hill)
