Ridden Trail:
Once a year

Reviewed by: JimiJam , from Raleigh

Summary:
These trails were some of the most awesome trails locally before access was denied. What riders need to learn from this is that if you abuse trails with no reguard for the future, yoyr future on this trail will be cut off or developed. These are two options Duke can and will exercise. The New Hope Creek singletrack is mostly flat but extremely technical. In the 80's theses trails ruled. Now don't waste your time, unless you enjoy being harrassed by tree huggers.

Recommended Route:
Whitfield,RD.

Ridden Trail:
Every few months

Summary:
Nice gravel roads and fire roads. Please note that SINGLE TRACK IS OFF LIMITS to bikes. Continued use of singletrack by mountain bikes jeopardizes future access for any part of the Forest.

Recommended Route:
Any of multiple road entrances from NC 751 and Whitfield Roads.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Cedar Falls Park in Chapel Hill

Reviewed by: Steve Boone , from Durham, NC

Summary:
Mostly gravel fire roads, but single track exists and provides good technical riding with plenty of elevation changes, roots, rocks, stumps and gullies

Recommended Route:
There are multiple good rides here, I've ridden Couch Mountain, the trails at Kerley and Constitution and several off of Whitfield road

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Lake Crabtree Park
