, from WILKESBORO, NC Summary: EVERY ONE KEEPS TALKING ABOUT GOING UP 1 TO 8 AND 1 TO 4, BUT IF YOU WANT A REAL RIDE YOU NEED TO RIDE 1A ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP, AND THEN GO DOWN 9. THIS IS ONE AWESOME RIDE, AND WILL MAKE YOU HURT. IT DOES TAKE AT LEAST 3 TO 4 HOURS OF SOLID RIDE TIME, SO BE READY. IT IS ALL WORTH IT THOUGH. IT IS THE BEST RIDING THERE IS AROUND, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MAYBE DUPONT FOREST. WOULD RECOMEND GOING DURING THE WEEK TO AVOID ATVS, EVEN THOUGH MOST ARE EXTREMELY NICE. WEEKENDS ARE EXTREMELY CROWDED, AND YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE TRAILS A LOT. Recommended Route: 1A ALL THE WAY TO 9 AND HOLD ON.

, from hickory Summary: brown has everything you would wont except for good shore riding.fast, jumps, berms, rock gardens, and just a little off the trails 7&5 are some real nice rock drops up to 7.5'drops that give you a mix of everything.expect to climb but dont worry with all the fun decending and great trail riding you will forget about the bad climbing. Recommended Route: if you go up the front(the long climb)it's best to do 1-left on 8-left on 7-right on 6.depending on your energy level.if your tired go to the end and go right on 1 and follow it all the way around past the spring until you see trail 9 on your left.follow 9 to the bottom then go over the dirt mounds to the road and take a right back to parking area.going up the back way is alot less boring climbing. Other recommended trails in the same area: yancys ridge,21jumps,harpers creek,anti-suava, raspberry ridge, sink hole-goat trail
