Cross Country Rider Summary: I am suprised that tis trail only has a 2.4 rating. I want to congradulate the trail crew on these trails.. NICE JOB! Being from Vermont I expected some easy double track type trail but these trails are quite a bit of fun. they use the terrain very well and keep the rider on their toes. The trails have a true trail head that is clearly marked and a bathroom as well. Nice touch. I think its about as good as it can get in a coastel region.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I have got to commend the people working on this trail. Nice Job!! I had a chance to ride it the other day and really enjoyed it. The trail is tighter than what I ride normally, but that's not a complaint. Good use of the existing terrain for sure and there are plenty of places to air it out if you want. There are some stunts along the trail that provide more variety than most trails I visit.
I've given it a high rating based on the fun factor which can't totally be measured on technical difficulty and aerobics.

Downhiller Summary: We've been doing a lot of work on this trail. It is now about 3.6 miles in length and a lot different. It will give you a workout. Just don't ride after a rain or you will be sorry - it is a mudfest. Go to http://www.sirbikesalot.com for all the latest info on the trail, including photos, videos, maps, GPS coords, directions. Recommended Route: Park under the powerlines. Make sure you park completely off the road. Ride past the water tower toward the jail. You will see an entrance on your right. Follow the arrows on the trees. When you come back, go across the street and hit the trails on the hill. Other recommended trails in the same area: see sirbikesalot.com

, from Wilmington, NC Summary: I had not ridden this trail since they had begun clearing for the new jail. I went back to this trail on Thursday to see if anything was different. Well... the spiders are there but not nearly as bad as at the Martin Merietta quarry. It just doesn't seem as good as it used to be. Of course the bridges are still standing... that deserves an "attaboy" to the builder(s). The brief whoop-de-dos at towards the end seemed new. Maybe I just forgot them in my old age. I wonder if anyone will ever take this trail further or will it be handed a life sentace when the jail opens... Let's see park.. my car between a juvenile center and the county jail... ride my expensive bike in the woods between these two places... hey who's that guy in the orange jumpsuit lurking behind that tree? Excuse me? No sir... I don't mind you taking my bike. What? Of course you can have whatever I have in my pockets. Sir? Oh, these? They are my car keys. What? Oh, sure here you go. What? Turn around? Ouch. A mosquitto bit me. Wow! That one really... Recommended Route: There's only one... Well I guess you can go counter-clockwise! Other recommended trails in the same area: What else is there but UNCW (legally)
