Summary:
A couple things about this page and the trail. #1, to get there, just stay on Riverside Road/251 out of Asheville. The parking lot is right past Lower Flat Creek road, there is no need to ever turn off of 251. #2, when we went yesterday (9/12/07) the trail was sickly overgrown and almost unrecognizable in places. We will definitely not be going back. It almost takes about 25 min from UNCA, so Bent Creek is just as far. Have fun if you do go and be prepared to get scrapes all over from briers!

Summary:
ive had a chance to ride out here when it was in pretty decent shape but it was back when i was just getting into ridding. unfortunatly this place has gone down the tubes or atleast the dual slolam course has. there have been mild rumors of building stunts out here but i have heard nothing but rumors. it has the potential but nobody has the man power or the equipment to make it a reality. stay away from here. that is all that i can say about this place.

Summary:
This is the ghetto of mtn bike locations. Do not ride here on a warm day or you will choke on the smell of exposed, rotting trash in the adjacent, active landfill. The vulturs flying overhead will be waiting for you to endo so they can get fresh food.

If this place was ever nice, it has seriously gone down the tubes. Poorly signed, the north loop is unrecognizable, access via Murray De Bruhl road is closed and overgrown.

Recommended Route:
Away from this place.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Coleman Boundary or Bent Creek are nearby and SO much better.

Get a road bike a go along the nearby French Broad river on 251.

Summary:
i am glad we were able to get trail at the dump, but i was bummed when i rode them. the whole area is about like paved single track. if you like moderate tech sections, and ridable rock gardens this is not the place for you. if you like riding a cross bike on "mtn. bike" trails this is the place for you. it is more of a race course than anything else.

Recommended Route:
pass the parking lot and keep driving to bent creek, or anywhere in pisgah.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
mullinex, squirrel gap, cantrell creek loop in turkey pen gap area.
