I've seen 2 main downhill runs. Bearing left at first Y takes you to rock and more rock steps. Some climbing/pushing involved here, but worth it. Bearing right is Fast swooping trail with banked turns. The you have a stonewall drop-off playground at the picknic area.

Summary:
Hiking trails are tough to ride. I first rode here 16 years ago. I used to ride from my parent house to Stonefalls road then over to Sandy Hill road. There is a gate into Stoney brook about where Sandy Hill road meets 46. Old railway bed. I used to mainly ride woods roads, maintainence roads with just a little riding on hiking trails. Not enough trails here to make it worth a drive. I would recommend going to Letchworth State Park FLT branch.

Recommended Route:
From Sandy hill road maintaninence road go right then keep bearing right. Left takes you towards east rim trail head and bridge over creek, upper camping and swimming area. Straight takes you to old railroad bridge crossing (bridge is not there any more) So right on woods road goes parallel to east rim trail go down hill then straight uphill. After the top of the hill their will be a small woods road on the right. I call this roller coaster its fast wide and fun down hill. Hidden in the woods on the left before you get to the Rollar coaster there is a deer track single track that goes next to the ridge. Some one has been in there in more recent years and tried to put some jumps in. Unfortunally route is not kept up and kinda dead ends after you go down hill away from the ridge.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Letchworth FLT branch trail 18 miles of continuous single track. Plus another 4 miles of double track,

Summary:
Stoney Brook is a lot of fun, I think that the Rim Trail is the best. It has a little bit of everything. Some nice drop-offs, stairs, and some steep runs with access around them if you do not want to take.
Also there is some nice spots to stop and take in a great view and have a cold one!

Recommended Route:
Rim Trail

Summary:
i ride this place all the time. if you look hard enough and know what your lookin at theres a series of 10-20 ft drops in the picnik area. the trails are awesome too. i love the new BEAST. (our new trail) better have some damn good brakes though. =)

Recommended Route:
to get to the beast stay right on the trails. and when you get to the only section you have to push your bike on head to your left and go up the steep bank and stay on the edge of the bank and head downhill the trail becomes more visable as you get further down. watch it though cause it goes 2 ft right next to the gorge. (no fence on this one) you can actually see the main road from the trail. it ends up right behind the local bike shop.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
swain, the original BEAST, and the letchworth trails.
