Illinois Mountain @ Berean Park

As of 2014, there are 7 miles of challenging singletrack, with more planned. It is easy to navigate, with maps found @ FatsintheCats.com
Either work your way up by starting on the Red singletrack by entering the woods past the tennis courts -then take white, make a left on the service road to Blue, then Yellow.
Or, take the service road up to Yellow and work your way down. Note that hikers & trucks also use the service road. This is a mountain setting, so expect a good workout -and mt terrain so close to Poughkeepsie etc.

Rocky mountainous terrain, built by mountain bikers. Scenic & rugged landscape.

Recommended Route:
Take service road from lot up (around gate) -note that vehicles & hikers also use the road.
Follow the road to Yellow on left & work your way down to Blue, service road briefly down to White then Red to tennis courts & parking lot.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Shaupaneake is about 4 miles north on 9W, also built & maintained by Fats in the Cats (with Scenic Hudson).
