Summary:
I want to clear up a few things for all the reviewers that post on this website. The trails at Gardener park are intended to be used by dog owners who want to take their dogs for a long walk. It is feasible to use it as a bike path or a jog route but it is not practical due to all the piles of dog poop all over the trails. There is also a great dog park here where dogs can interact with other dogs and people off the leash in a confined area. If you want a clean, scenic route to jog or ride, don't come here. If you want a friendly and gregarious area where you and your dog are accepted unconditionally, then this is probably the best dog park/trails to visit on long island. Have fun!

Recommended Route:
Robert Moses to 27A (montauk highway) East, about half a mile down on the right.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There are also a large array of other dog parks on long island. There is a great dog park in wantagh park with seats, bags to pick up poop, and a clean park to play in. Exit 48N on the Long Island Expressway takes you to another location about 3 miles on the right. This place is exceptionally large in proportion to the other dog parks. It has to be at least a half an acre. Finally, there is another location off of Exit 36N off of the LIE, about 1 mile on the right. I dont remember any of their names but they are there and open to the public.

Summary:
Rute is very bumpy and narrow you will come to a bunch of logs that is as far as I went. Muddy trail is very muddy. It is an open filed but there is a muddy path. if you follow it untill the end you can get on a dirt path. (there are alot of little creeks)

Recommended Route:
Ride down the beach trail and on your right there will be a trail that you can barley see. Turn on it and just keep riding (Ihave never been to the end)
