Colonie Town Park Singletrack

Average Rating:    (3.5 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 2

A variety of winding, semi-technical singletrack riding, some short steep ups and downs, logs, small drops, and rock gardens. There are 4 or 5 loops on the ridge which wind in and out of each other like spaghetti. Can be muddy when wet.

Summary:
Close to home, so it's easy for me to get a run in before work.
I am just a beginner of sort. I can ride, just lack stamina. So this place is great for quick 1-2 hour rides to build basic skills and endurance.
It's enjoyable because it's not to hard, but not to easy for beginner to intermediate riders.

Recommended Route:
I like to come up Fonda Rd. and park by the entrance to the cement factory next to the trail. then hop on the bike path and go under Rt. 9.
You will pass a bench and the trail will be on the left after it. Watch for it though, because it cuts back uphill the direction you are coming from. So you might have to turn around on the bike path and get a running start for the small uphill.
