This trail has nothing remotely tough except one rock drop off and a big downhill covered with leafs that is challenging .. If you live in Northern Westchester or Putnam, it is a good trail to ride on a summer day after work. When I lived in NY I used to ride it all the time.. Some guys from a Brewster bike shop built these trails years ago.. *HOWEVER*I do not know however if these trails are off limits.. I used to see tons of folks riding back there when I lived in the area. I rode here a few weeks ago and saw some bike tracks as well as ATV tracks. It is what it is a fun small area to get out and ride after work.. Follow single track past some old abandoned cars up past the powerlines and into the woods.. There is a few miles of trails back there with some fun stuff..
Take Stoneleigh Avenue out of Croton Falls to Magnetic Mine Rd, which is a dirt road with a nice view of the reservoir. Follow Magnetic Mine to a small bridge on you left.. Mk left.. Trailhead is about 10O past the bridge on your right.. Park there.. Keep in mind, if you dont live close by, these trails are not worth your time driving there..
Summary: what an amazing trail system! i spent an entire afternoon there and i didnt have enough time to find all the trails! from what ive heard, there is a sick 30 foot road gap, a couple wall rides, a beastly huck, and acouple nicely built skinnies! the trails are well marked, and easy to find. you can spend an entire day here and not ride the same trail twice! the sweet singletrack here is super flowey, and the downhill runs are fast and gnarly! i recomend these trails to anyone looking for some fun north eastern style mountain biking!
Recommended Route: 666 all the way, also the trail marked with white is fun too!

Summary: Whoever wrote the desc. of this trail system didn't see a 1/10th of what it has. Long climbs and descents on the "tower side". Lots of fun stuff in "24" and tons of singletrack and real fun downhills all over. Take the time to check it out, you'll be glad you did. Find some of the awesome bridges and teeter totters that have been made, they're sick!!
