Cross Country Rider Summary: New Trails, New Markers and New Bridges. With numerous options and three difficulties to choose from (Beginner,Intermediatem and Advanced). I ride here weekly with my son and we both love it. With about 6 miles of trails and loops to mix and match and some tight single track and a couple of good climbs and fast downhills there is a little something for everyone. Still need to watch out for the cross country runners. Remeber here they are our allies and have come out to support trail building and maintance projects. The section by Tottenville HS is great for beginners with a nice double track loop. If you are adventourous head south on Hylan Blvd for approx 1 3/4 of a mile and explore the trails at Long Pond Park some real fun stuff in there not legal YET!
Enjoy.. Recommended Route: Intermediate/Advanced riders - Drive to the end of Hugenot Ave and enter the park on the corner go approx 50 Yards into the path and enter trails opposite the dog run.
Beginners - Park behind Tottenville HS and enter opposite the school Cafeteria.

, from staten island Summary: not bad if you are in the area, you could take train to huguenot and ride straight down bikes are allowed on train which can be caught at ferry terminal, its near the beach, look out for hikers and xcountry runners, somewhat technical, not worth going out of way for, good spot to spend a day exploring if you never been in area, very easy to access, but not very big Recommended Route: you can enter park at huguenot ave down at the beach and ride through park, you can also take main enterance, either way ride toward the building and you'll see the trail, there are also some enterances along hylan blvd Other recommended trails in the same area: mount loretto, conference house, spots along hylan blvd toward jersey

, from Staten Island,ny Summary: when the trail is near the pond it is a rollercoster with lots of roots and drops. after crossing hylan blvd there is a lot of potential alittle flatter but fun needs some more tech stuff though. Recommended Route: There is only one marked trail but there is a sick log with teater just off trail and some technical bridges that are a must. Other recommended trails in the same area: greenbelt
