Ridden Trail: Every few months

Cross Country Rider Summary: I used to ride this trail all the time when I lived in the Buffalo area. This is a nice rolling trail with some fun decents and challening short climbs. Lots of twisting singletrack and some fun creek crossings. I especially love the short fast downhill section as you exit the path onto the road. Recommended Route: I enter the park and go to the right. Park up by the ski-warming hut (the dirt road entrance to the right of the camping area). Go up the hill to the XC-Ski trail.. turn to the left as you come to the T-junction in the trail and ride that for a short bit. Keep your eyes peeled to the left on the trail looking for a green-diamond shaped trail marker. Thats where the singletrack begins. (you will have to turn off of the XC-Ski trail)
You will exit the trail on the road (about 6-6.5 miles) and you will have to follow the road back up to where you parked. (.5-1 mile maybe)
It sounds confusing, and sort of is, until you get used to it, or unless you have a map. But it's definitely a fun trail. Just follow the green trail marker signs and you will be fine. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hunter's Creek, Ellicotville, Golden Hill

Weekend Warrior Summary: I'm from Philly and ride Wissahickon, pennypack... this place is worth checking out if in the Buffalo area. It’s a nice park and offers some good riding and scenery. The trail is a bit difficult to find however, but once you are on the trail the makings are excellent. From the main parking lot head off to the right and the trail will head moderately up hill for quite a while. The entire loop is about an hour depending on ability. There are no long climbs, but there are lots of ups and downs and several stream crossings. Most of the trail is along the edge of the hills and that along with many roots will keep you on your toes. There are a few log crossings along the way, but this trail is not too technical. The trail is almost single-track through pines, but at the end there’s about 1/2 a mile of down-hill double-track that makes for quite an ending. Just stay of the brakes and let'r fly! Recommended Route: Start at the right after the main parking lot. You could also start to the left just over the bridge going over the creek, but the first 1/2 mile would be a difficult climb for most. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hunter's Creek, but only when dry!

Cross Country Rider Summary: We checked out this place today & enjoyed it. Lots of good hills to pump through with decent clmibs and twisty downhills. There's a challenge to bad had especially when going fast but moderate riders shouldn't have much trouble at a slower pace. Recommended Route: Went backwards from the normal flow as we couldn't find the initial entrance which is to the right of the bathrooms in the lower parking lot. We took a road ride to the top of the hill then took a freeride through the woods until we found it but enjoyed our route. I'll try going the other way next time to see which way on the loop I like better. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hunter's Creek - especially from the Hunte's Creek Rd entrance.
