Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a fun little trail. I grew up riding this trail as a kid. I've ridden bikes, mopeds and dirtbikes on this trail. It's not maintained so riding can be a bit slow. but it has many ups and downs. I t can be fast at times and has great scenery. I wouldn,t travel far just to ride it, but if your in the area...why not!

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from NYC, NY Summary: I used to ride this trail allmost everyday to MVCC. The first part from the north end is a long raised trail. Under the first bridge then stage two. This is the most difficult part. It is possible to ride this W/O getting of your bike....if your good. You hav to be able to drop a step decline and immediately hop two dropped trees. It is very tight single track. Note: There is one spot where a bridge is out, you may have to carry your bike across a Log/bridge. The next section after crossing chestnut is my favorite, there are a few jumps and small drops. Going faster increases difficulty. Near the end the trail splits and comes back together to a sharp incline, hit it with speed and climb it no problem. Coming back into the same spot is a cool drop. If you 'bunny hop' first and time it right, you can just drop right in. very cool. The rest of the trail is fun too. It is worth checking out if you are in the area. Recommended Route: The northern most entrance is on route 46, right at begining of 55mph zone on right, just as you go down hill. It is also possible to enter behind Olneys Flower Pot, N. Madison & James St. The southern entrance is on River parkway (?) across from Staley Jr high. The final section is at the back of Staley Jr High Soccer field. The middle of the Trail crosses Chestnut St at the bridge. The next section of the trail crosses Floyd ave at the bridge where the big billboard is. Other recommended trails in the same area: Sherrill Brrok Park, Hew Hartford. Trails out at Lee Town Park and behind turin Town ( lots of drops out by the lake )
