Weekend Warrior Summary: There are no technical part of the trail. The difficulty really depends. If you drive to the top, there is not much biking effort for you to do. If park by the main entrance and bike up to the top. The incline just gets harder and harder. at least for beginner's like me and my wife. The top has beautiful, beautiful sceneries! Picnic up there is very nice. Bring your trunk, you can go into the lake for a nice dip in between your rides. Other recommended trails in the same area: About 2 mile before the main entrance is Mohonk Preserve, couple different trails there from easy 5 mile to hard up hill trails.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Absolutely gourgeous. It might not be chalenging, but oh man, it's so beautiful. There are two lakes, and 4 long trails. The round trip is about 10 miles up and down. Be sure to come on a sunny day and bring your camera.

, from nyc Summary: this place was horrendous 90% constant uphills, 10% downhill. the downhills were not worth trooping it and driving 2 hours. too many hikers on the trails. but beautiful scenery. Recommended Route: get off at exit 18 not 17 to hop on 299 before you hit the 44/55

, from Westchester, NY Summary: I wrote a review of these trails a few years back. These "carriage trails" are now seen in a different light after riding real carriage trails in Acadia Nat'l Park. You could play pool on the trails in Acadia. They were 18 feet wide, an 18 wheeler could pass without difficulty. Minnewaska's trails, while not singletrack, have character. The views are better than those at Acadia. Despite any negative comments from the riders that are too good for these trails, I have found them to be a great "battery recharger", and have made this my favorite destination. I have enough steep, slippery, rocky, rooty singletrack near my home. This place is a hoot to ride. Recommended Route: Yellow out, Blue Back, with a side trip to the nose. Other recommended trails in the same area: The trails connect with Mohonk Preserve Trails, but they are expensive to ride on and the tales of nasty patrols have kept me away.
