Crandall Park XC Trails

Main loop in wide xc ski trail, but there are many good single tracks trails off of the main loop. There isn't enough to spend a whole day here, but if you live in the area or are vacationing in Lake George it is great. There are onlt a few hills and none are that big. Urge the guys in the shop to have races again.
Exit 19 of I-87, east to Rt. 9, then south a couple of miles to The Inside Edge/Reliable Racing Store. Park in back of store and trails start right there.
Summary: These Trails are okay, its best to link them with surrounding trails. Once you get to the west side of the trails, (after water tower/mall area, take left over bridge after downhill,) there will be an exit on your right. This puts you onto Dixon Rd, take right under I-87, to a stop sign. There are trails on both road, if you turn left, about 1500' on your right side. If you go straight, about 1/4 up on left side, you will see a trail into the woods. These trails are not marked, but are easy to figure out. You can spend all day in these trails(Peggy Ann Rd Trails).

Ridden Trail: Once a month

Summary: Smooth double-track/x/c ski trails. 5-6 mile main loop with a few small climbs and decents. Several brisge crossings over streams. A good recreational trail for those whole want to take the family out for a fun ride. Not any real technical terrain to challange serious riders. I live across the street from thewse trails and find myself trail-running on them more than biking.
Recommended Route: Exit 19 off I-87N, right onto Rt. 9, 3 miles, right onto Fire Rd., park 1/4 up on right.
