Summary:
Not easy, either up or down. Mostly singletrack, some of it very steep. Definitely a test of climbing ability to get up this, and of skill and nerve to ride down it.

There is other, less testing singletrack available from the top of Elm Ridge, the Elm Ridge Trail. Riding down the Peck Road Trail can also be challenging, especially if it's wet, as much of the trail is a streambed and some of it flows over nice big smooth very slippery-when-wet rocks.
