You can do anything from 3 miles to 20 miles...TONS of Great Single Track and some great fireroads. and TONS of Trails. The bike shop in Pleasant Valley has maps as does Bikeway. Check the trail listed on this site as "M-Trail - Multi Use 909 Tyrell Road" for more reviews.

Summary:
May 28th was the first time I ever rode the 909 trail, and believe me, this is a SICK SICK trail and I plan on going again and again and again..... DO NOT stick to the main trails that the ATV's cut...you gotta go through the offshoots; thats where the singletraks are, and combined theres about 15-20 miles of them. And they're awesome. Only problem with doing that is that you may get lost...my buddy and I were lost for almost 3 hours and it was starting to get dark/rain. Which made it even more fun. Didn't see any "sweet jumps" (napolean dynamite voice) and the "bridges" are rocks set up in the middle of streams.

Recommended Route:
Taconic North past poughkeepsie, make right on Tyrell Road. DO NOT TAKE THE "SUDDEN DEATH RIGHT TURN" ONTO THE DIRT TRAIL DIRECTLY FROM THE HIGHWAY! You can get to the trail from an actual intersection without causing a 20 car pile-up. Then go to end of Tyrell Road and park in that little dirt area on the right. And enjoy

Summary:
the "909" has something for everyone. It has nice fire roads for the beginner. I has fast downhill sections. I has some serious climbs and some screaming downhills with stream crossings and mini bridges. The trails are color code marked and the is a trail map available on Bikerag.com. There is a loop that can be connected to form approx. 10mile ride. But with some exploring you could ride for hours. and I must say that " Bike Head" is the BOMB!

Recommended Route:
Start at either the Taconic entrance or tyrell rd. go north and the trail will loop around he property. I haven't quite figured out all of the trails yet.

Vassar farms, Ninham, Stewart, Fahnstock trials
