Reviewed by: steveb , from clifton park

Summary:
After the first mile of gravel road, all of the trails were created by atv's. This area is usually muddy. Even though this area isn't very technical, there are a couple steep downhills, and multiple stream crossings. There is also a gravel pit and some sandy sections. There are quite a few different routes here. (The original gravel road from the trail head is an old canal towpath and goes all the way to Waterford).

Recommended Route:
Head down gravel road back towards Albany (South). Just past an old bridge foundation look for a trail to the right. Take this up the hill and down the backside to the gravel road and turn right. If you miss this trail keep going on the entry road until you see a gravel pit and turn right onto the gravel road. Follow this road until it narrows to atv doubletrack. There are multiple routes from here.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Cliff trail, Colonie park, Kinns park, Vischer Ferry.
