Tibbitt's State Forest

 4 of 5

About 4 miles of logging roads and hiking trail. Marked as DEC Yellow, Red or Blue trails. Holders of a DEC Disabled Rider ATV Access Permit can ride ATVs on only the Red trail sections. Mixed hardwood forest, better to avoid the blue section on bikes until a log bridge is constructed over a short swampy section.

Summary:
There are a bunch of trails off of the official State trails. There is a lot of climbing but the ride back down is excellent!! If you are looking to do an hour or 2 of riding this is a fun place to go.

Recommended Route:
From Troy take Route 7 East. You will travel about 15-20 miles and see an intersection on your right hand side for Route 22(Stewars at the corner) Turn Right onto 22 and the trail head is less than a 100 feet on your right hand side.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Grafton, Pittstown, Lock 7, Poop Loop, Pits
