Cross Country Rider Summary: To get the most bang for your buck stop at Black River Adventurers' shop and get the trail map. And while you're there thank Todd for all the work he has done on the trails. Recommended Route: Get the map and head out, legend has it that a boy scout marked the trails and it coordinates with the map. Other recommended trails in the same area: Black river trail and Guthrie trail (on Ft. Dum)

, from Watertown New York Summary: Mostly the trails are technical single track with tight cornes, narrow tree passes, swithbacks, traverses, there are new trails popping up all the time if you are into fast single track or just a beginner you will have a blast just ask the guys at Blue Cat Cycles Recommended Route: Only the trail head is marked, attending one of Blue Cat Cycles group rides is the best way to learn and navigate the Olmstead trail system, but if you are like most Mountain Bikers (adventurous) and are willing to ride the trails I would recommend starting at the trailhead which is about 50 meters from the Thopmson Park Zoo parking lot, from there if you just start riding you should easily find your way around. Other recommended trails in the same area: There are some trails behind Watertown High School. The school is on Washington Street you can't miss it(Rt.11) there is a trailhead to the left of the school track The trails are known as Wiley trails
