Highland Lakes State Park

Great trails meandering among streams fields and lakes. Plenty of hills though none too deadly. Lots of rocks, roots etc. Fairly wide and easy. Nice to move at speed.

Summary:
Highland Lakes State Park is also known as Camp Orange. There is a lot of single track and some old fire roads that make up this park and a lot of them are rocky. There is very little motorcycle and quad traffic and this park is closed to hunters all year. There some swamp crossing that are walkable in the spring and ridable in the summer. The single track runs the gauntlet from fast flowing to rock garden city. This place will give you a good work out and if you are a single speeder good luck.

Recommended Route:
When we ride here we do what we call the outer limits which is a clockwise loop that is about 12 miles. The three ridges that run north and south keep you going up hill and when going east and west in the park. There is no map that I know of so I suggest that you take your time to find your way around or ride with someone that knows the place. Park at the Tamms Rd parking lot and explore.

Summary:
I rode this place a few times and it's a good place to ride.
There is some single track here and there. A lot of old fire roads. Some medium climbs and equal decents.
It's just a good place to ride and for a change of pace I go here.

Recommended Route:
Just get lost...
