Fun fast several different ways to go. Some small drops, some bigger if you can find them. Fun
Summary: This review is for the northern section, which is technically Blauvelt State Park, but considered Clausland by most.
This place offers a nice variety: Some fast, flat single track, fun downhills, rideable climbs, and great views of the Hudson. Plus, if you're into freeriding, there is an extensive network of old concrete walls to fool around on.
I park on Marisco Ct., which is up the road from the Tackamack parking lot (pass the parking lot, make your next left onto Valenza, bear left onto Marisco Ct.).
Down a little, you'll see the trailhead for the Long Path (LP, green blaze) clear as day.
Follow the LP for about 1-1.5 miles. You'll reach a junction where the LP goes left down a hill and 2 unmarked paths go straight and to the right. Go right if you want to check out the concrete walls and some other unmarked trails. Note: many of the unmarked trails are in poor shape.
Continuing left down the hill on the LP, you'll cross a stream and then start an ascent. At the top, you'll cross the road (Tweed Blvd), continuing on the LP by climbing a set of wooden stairs.
At this point, you'll come to some cool exposed rock outcrops with killer views of the TZ Bridge, but watch out--there's broken glass everywhere. A little farther down, you'll come to a junction with a red-blazed trail. The red will shoot you down hill to Bradley Hill Rd.
Take the LP another couple of miles. A bit after entering the Hunter Memorial Park (not sure of full name)you'll come to a junction for a white-blazed trail. You'll take this trail all the way out to Bradley Hill Rd, where you'll see the trailhead for the red trail across the street. If you want to extend your ride, keep following the white trail up the hill until you get into Buttermilk Falls Park. The blue trail there is short, but real fun.
If you chose not to extend your ride, you'll take the red trail back up the hill. Cross the street and you're back on the LP and headed back to your car.
Note: On your way up red, look to your right for a white-blazed trail. It's a sweet little down hill section with a really steep section. If you continue on this trail, you'll hook up with the LP as well. LOTS of deadfall on this one!
Recommended Route: Many ways to go. Get the map from the NY/NJ Trail Conference Web site(www.nynjtc.org).
Note on my rating: I rated overall a 3 because maintenance is not great(lots of deadfall.)Otherwise, I think this place is a 3.5-4

Summary: This is a fast downhill, that serpentines, so you can really lean into these turns at speed, but be careful there are a shit load of jumps consisting log piled up, they can buck you if you don't position your body right on take off. After that it get more techy, more of a winding descent but rockier than the beginning part of the trail. There is a good size dirt double that has about a ten foot gap, there are several log bridges with drops a small fireroad gap jump and just an overall awesome fast and semi-technical, semi-difficult(that is a relative term, difficult to the majority of riders out there) ride that is not long but damn fun. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete riding non-stop and takes about ten minutes to drop the cars off and start all over.
Recommended Route: This is a Shuttle run, so you want to start by putting a car at the bottom of the hill on the Orangetown side of the mountain. The drive up Cnty RT 28 to Tweed St. and make a right.Take that to Nike St. Park at the water tower at the top. Proceed through the gate and then you are on your own.
