Summary:
Brookfield is great!! There are so many trails and they are all well marked and maintained. This place is great for XC, miles and miles of trails with lots of ups and downs (It seems like more ups!) Get a map (a must) and try to do a long loop. There are even a few places that are mildly technical. If you really like to mountain bike you should have no problem having a blast here. Just watch out for the horses.

Recommended Route:
I like going down trail 3 and also the ledges trail. You will find where these trails are with the map that you need to have if you are going to ride here. Figure out a loop where you can go DOWN both of these trails and you should have a great time. Remember to go down trail 3 not up it!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Stoney Pond, Colgate, Highland Forest

Summary:
Just got back from a fantastic ride. The trails are well maintained and the signs marking the trails are big and very helpful. I didn't see anyone today but judging from the amount of horse poop it seems that there is a pretty strong equestrian presence. Make sure and get a map because there are a lot of trails and truck trails which can make for a lot of stops trying to find where you are. This is a great CNY bike ride.

Recommended Route:
I suggest stopping at Adventure Bike and Board in Hamilton to grab a map and talk to the very friendly people that work there. Once in the approximate area park at the campsites located just off of Brown's road. This is a good place to start. Because of the abundance of trails pretty much grab your map and do some exlporing. The trails that you should make sure and hit are 26, 19, 21, and 3. Trails 26, 21, and 3 are all really great x-country singletrack going mostly downhill. Trail number 19 is a kick in the butt uphill but definetly worth it.

Every few months

Summary:
There are really alot of trails here for the xc rider. Pretty much everything from wide open truck roads to narrow and muddy single track. Oh yeah, "mud" sometimes means horse poop, but dont be afraid; Everybody poops. Anyone from the very beginner to the advanced xc rider will have fun. Freeriders will be bored and very tired as this place is pretty big. Like the others said, bring a map or you will be out there for days.

Recommended Route:
so many to choose from depending on your ability and you likes.

gate, skytop, marks house
