Summary:
Bond Lake has given the local MTB club real access to this park...which means real trails. A work day is scheduled for 5/12/07. Check the Western New York MTB site for more info for Niagara County's first official trail.

Summary:
Do not bother checking this trail out. It's not even a mtb trail! It's like a 4 wheeler or something. What a waste of time!! I drove an hour to see this place and I get there and its this crap. Riding at Bonds like is like riding on my side-walk in front of my house. IMBARISSING PLACE TO RIDE!!

Recommended Route:
Follow Tom's directions!

Summary:
Bond Lake Park is part of the Niagara County Park system. The trail originally was for cross-country skiing, but now is multi-use. The trail consist of two main parts: the south trail which is on the south side of Lower Mountain Road, and the north trail which is on the north side of Lower Mountain Road. The south trail is about 4 1/2 miles long, and goes through several active orchards, some nice wooded hillside, and around several small lakes. There are several downhill runs of varying degrees of challenge. All are fun. Watch out for ATV runs on some parts of the south trail. (the ATV's are NOT supposed to use the trail) Also, this trail gets fairly heavy use by horse riders, so watch out and be courteous. The north trail goes down the escarpment and around several large meadows with wooded areas. The downhill parts (most of the north trail) are a blast, but the trip back up will test your conditioning. Again, watch for hikers or horseback riders. I would rate these trails better than Sprague Brook, because of the greater variety of terrain, longer length, and super scenery. Check it out if you like a good mix of trail type.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Pendleton (Erie Canal) Trail, Wilson-Tuscarora State Park, Sprague Brook Park (Erie County)
