Ridden Trail: Once a week

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is the trail I first rode mountain bikes on back in 1988-1991. I always lived within a short ride from either side of the river and I would ride two or three times a week maybe more out there. Great trails to learn on. Challenging as well. I remember some steep rocky hills, washed out gully's, logs, mud, and singletrack. Very cool to see these trails online and to know that the enjoyment of them continues on years later. I think I might have to take a spin up that way next time I'm in the North Country.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I bent my rims here. Trails are pretty good. never found the drops. Recommended Route: Go to the sand pit,and as fast as you can go, launch into pit. go straight and come around back to pit. Make sure to go past/thru sand pit area. Other recommended trails in the same area: Whiteface

Weekend Warrior Summary: Mostly flat tight single track. A few stunts. A fun series of ledge drops (1-3') under the 87 bridge. Sewage smell coming from a small stream detracted from the ride. I wouldn't travel to far to ride these trails. Other recommended trails in the same area: Caddyville

Cross Country Rider Summary: The trail is fine if it is all you can get to but there is much better riding other places. Recommended Route: Be advised there is a new section of trail between the PSUC dorms and the footbridge. It leaves the dorms down a steep bank the the Saranac and follws the river heading upstream for a couple hundred yards. There is orange flagging marking the new single track on your right. It goes gently up hill and then surfs a side hill. There is cool 90 degree laft-hand banked turn near the end. Also a good rock obstacle off the side of the trail near that bend.

Weekend Warrior Summary: alright but not the best of trails, watch out for the rednecks at the sand pit and dont gert chased by any hicks, if you do get on to the nearest single track. Some good bridges but be sure to check most of them before you ride them (there not the sturdiest) overall a good bike ride Recommended Route: start off in wiggle town and and go out to the field house Other recommended trails in the same area: cadyville
