Rocky fireroads and singletrack. Lots of technical uphill and downhill. Note: Riding requires membership to the Black Rock Forest Mountain Biking Club.

Ridden Trail:
Once a month

Reviewed by: James , from West Point

Summary:
Excellent place to ride and right next to me. Extremely rocky though, so wouldn't recommend it to beginners. Hopefully you have a good set of climbing legs, cause it's either all uphill or all down.

Recommended Route:
I love to use this trail to get over the mountain to Cornwall from WP. Starting from Washington Gate (RT. 218) head to where 218 comes to an exchange with 296 and 9W. Ride under the underpass for 9W and immediatly to your right you will see a red gate. Ride up that, that will be Old West Point Road. Keep riding up and eventually you'll come to the upper resivoir. Around there you can find a place to get trail maps. Have fun going down from there.
