Ridden Trail: Once a month

Weekend Warrior Summary: Mostly single track trails through the forest, up and down hills with rocks roots and some twists and turns to mix it up. Don't be deceived if at first you start the red trail and all looks smooth and flat, continue your ride and you will find some cool technical sections and of course, who can forget about the mud. I always come out covered head to toe! Have fun riding back up Hartnett Rd to your car! Recommended Route: I've only ridden on the red trail system, but when the maps are available at the trail head, or you're just up for exploring, there are I believe at least two other color coded trails in Bear Swamp Forest.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Moravia, NY Summary: Enough trails to keep you busy for a very full day of riding without backtracking. I've been to most of the good trails in central NY and this is on par or better than the rest when it is dry. Avoid this place in the spring due to some crazy mud. Summer and Fall riding are great when it dries up some. Definetly one of my favorite places to ride. Would be 5 stars if wasn't so muddy at the beginning of the season. Recommended Route: Most all the trails are good. All are very well marked. Other recommended trails in the same area: Harriet Hollister State Park (Further West) Mt. Morris Dam Park (Fingerlakes trail) - Shindagin (sp?) (Ithaca) Those three trails are the best around.

, from Cortland Summary: Very wet in the spring. Lots of well marked trails for all abilities. Fire roads and some challenging single track. A fun place to spend the day. Grab a map from the guest box before you ride and hose down your bike at the Colonial when you're done. Recommended Route: Behind Colonial Lodge on 41A between New Hope and Sempronius

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Rochester Summary: This is one of my favorite places to ride, i wish i lived closer to it so a could go their more. The red and blue trails are pretty wet, and their were puddles (small lakes) from atvs, and some large trees were across the trail. However the yellow trail system is very good, it has long climbs and fast decents. The yellow trail system is also the longest. Start off with the yellow trails because i think they are the best and mix and match some red and blue for varitey. Recommended Route: behind the colonial inn, bear swamp road, Pick up a map and ride!
