18 Mile Creek Park
2 reviews
 2.5 of 5

Mostly singletrack all along the upper bank of the creek. Watch out for some killer steep side trails that take you down to the water. Lots of potential for blood donors. ATV's, horses, joggers all enjoy this trail, so watch out for them. It is an abandoned Erie County park, so its legal status is questionable, but nobody seems to mind. Respect the neighborhood residents and the No Tresspassing signs. About 2.5 miles each direction. Some sections require technical skills, but nothing too extreme (except those optional side trails). Really scenic views from on top of the 100 foot creek walls! Wear bright colors so the hunters dont blow you away during open season (just kidding).

Summary:
Well, the park can't really be "abandoned" since it never opened. That will change in 2003 when it does finally open. WNYMBA is working on trying to make sure bikes are allowed when it is opened.
