this is a nice pleasant intermediate ride. you will see 4-WD road running up a hill about 2-1/2 mi. before you arrive at park entrance. 4_WD portion is 1-1/2 mi. one way . it dead-ends into an overlook over a deep arroya. it is an aerobically and technically intermediate rocky jeep road with occasional baby heads. also rattlers and a mountain lion or two. at the end of your ride you are rewarded with a luxurious oasis. swim , climb cliffs or relax at Sitting Bulls Falls, a plush spring fed waterfall.

wonderful scenery and solitude.

Recommended Route:
between the city of Carlsbad and Carlsbad Caverns. follow 180. signs will direct you to Sitting Bull Falls on the
Guadalupe Back Country Byway.
