Series of loops, part of the Alien Run race. Intermediate level with some good technical parts. Great views of the Colorado mountains, hence the name.

This is standard fare for the area, meaning nice riding thru Pinon/Juniper and sage. The trails are marked for non-motorized and has been respected by the Motos who are nearby, so it is nice narrow singletrack compared to the whoops of nearby trails. Several small loops take you through twists/turns on relatively non-tech terrain. Up and down through washes etc, with no big vertical. Great views of La Platas and San Juan Mtns. Oil & Gas presence minimal for the area. Combine this with an Alien ride (this dries out sooner) and you'll have a good day of riding...

Recommended Route:
Off 173, turn on 'Moto Cross Road', park at the Go Kart track and continue up road to trailhead. Go get lost; maybe 8-11 miles of loops..? We went counterclockwise.
