Lost Lake Trail - NM

Average Rating:    (4 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 1

To get there: From Red River, NM drive to the Upper Valley (about 7 miles) and park where the road pavement ends. At right is the start of an easy climb jeep road. Ride jeep road til you're on TR 487 towards Lost Lake and Middle Fork Lake. At the waterfall go left onto TR 91 and you're on the trail to Lost Lake (if you go right you’ll be riding up to Middle Fork Lake).

Once on trail it can be somewhat steep and rocky in a few sections but it’s all rideable. Ride up about another 3 – 3.5 miles and you’ll come to Wilderness Boundary (you’ll see a sign). From this point it’s about a ½ mile more to the lake. You can hide your bike here and walk. Pretty lake so hang out a bit. When you get back to your bike be ready for a fast downhill. It’s about a 12 mile trip out and back.
