Fast, hilly singletrack loaded with whoop-de-doos. The main trail is a 30 mile loop but can be shortened at various points.Popular with riders from Northern NM and S.Colorado.An Expert as well as a beginner can find enjoyable action out on the singletrack.

Summary:
Stay away. Wide sandy single track that repeats it's self endlessly. This trails doesn't just suck it has a hidden danger, the only trail I've ever ridden that made me hate mountain biking (very temporarily). If you're still curious then do this, ride 5 minutes of any random section, you have just previewed the entire trail system. Those sandy whoops you just did? There are thousands of them. Did you miss the oil rig? Don't worry, there hundreds of them out here. I giving this a scathing review because I don't want folks touring the 4 corners to think this is NM riding, this is the worst in the state. Any one who thinks this is decent riding deserves pity, you have mine. -5 if possible

Summary:
Incredibly smooth and fast single track with all kinds of twists and turns and a shitload of whoops. Picture about 8 miles of BMX track. Not much climbing at all which may be why some people don't like it. As far as the people who say "where's the challenge" just ride faster!!! I can guarantee you Rod from SoCal got lost somewhere, hence the bad review. As for me, 5 TIRES ALL THE WAY!!!
Oh yeah, if you choose a different route, avoid the part on the map called "mainly whoops". It is too damn sandy for mtn biking imo. Trey's Airtime is fine.

Summary:
This thing sucks! We spent a day in Fruita, a couple of days in Moab, rode Durango and then this. 36-miles of junk. I have nothing but pitty for the people of New Mexico if you call this a mountain bike trail. Where is the challenge? This is as boring trail as you will find anywhere in the country. The only reason I'm giving this thing one tire is for the simple fact that I can't take two tires back. An honest rating would be -2 tires. Stay on the couch, eat a bag of potato chips, take a nap, watch golf.... for gods sack don't waste your time here.

Recommended Route:
Easy question. Recommended route: Route your a$$ away from this, do you really call this a mountain bike trail?

Summary:
The sand sucks and the woop-dee-doos get a little harsh on the back but it is only one of the great trails I have ridden in the Four Corners. It's fun bumping into the pros from Durango too.

Recommended Route:
There are alot of shoot offs from this trail. Try any of them, they all hold suprises. Just remember where you parked and take lots of water and food.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Alien trail in Aztec is technical, rough and and quite different from the other local trails. Kenzies Ridge and Pinion Mesa are great too.

Summary:
IN Rod Graham's OWN WORDS "I guess the whole point of my tirade is that this trail simply does not deserve 5 tires. That rating should be reserved for only the truly great rides, otherwise this guide has no real value. Sandy, wide single track, and multi-use fire roads at best might garner two or three tires, but in order to bring the average down I have to give this a one tire rating." Rob, you have no right to bring down the rating just because YOU dont agree. If you think its a 2 or 3, give it a 2 or 3. Let us decide by looking at REAL averages. It is by doing stupid things like that that may make ruin the value of this site. Im giving this 5 tires just to bring your 1 and my 5 to the 2 or 3 that you feel this ride honestly deserves. In the future, please give trails the rating you feel they deserve.
