Cross Country Rider Summary: WOW..the downhill sections are a gas..rocky, rooty, twisty..great pucker factor on a section of the downhill switchback after the first climb..steep drop off on the left and about a 2-3 ft wide trail with rocks, roots, and twists..don't look left..If your from sea level then the climbs will rip your lungs out..but it's worth it..I'm rating it a 5 on Aerobic difficulty for us Sea Level Riders..They need more air up here..ha ha Recommended Route: take first trailhead on the service rd..named Osha Tr..trail starts about 1/4 mile on left..check with High Altitude Bike shop for map..when u get to the bottom of the trail it opens into a pasture (you'll see a bench)go right up hill to complete the loop or take off one of the other trails to make your own..BRING A MAP!!! Other recommended trails in the same area: Pumphouse Canyon, High Altitude Race Course-

, from Roswell, NM Summary: Pretty good trail. Not as technical as some of the other area trails but a lot of fun. Downhill nets "Hostpital Speed" with several small jumps and a humdinger of an "S" turn at the end. Good all around trail. Try it in May for the High Altitude Classic race. Beau Coup fun! Recommended Route: Hit the trail just a block east of the bike shop in Cloudcroft. Get a map at the shop. Other recommended trails in the same area: Spaghetti bowl, Perk Canyon.
