Cross Country Rider Summary: Intermediate trail. The best maintained trail in las cruces. Recommended Route: Get google earth and download the file below. It is a full map of the whole trail. Hope it helps

Other recommended trails in the same area: robledo's if it gets maintained and sierra vista. avoid A mountain....too much erosion.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I recently rode this trail while on vacation in NM and loved it. The technical difficulty is moderate but these trails have a very nice flow and are perfectly maintained. The trails are in the middle of the dessert so having enough water is important and you don’t want to ride at noon. Contrary to what was said below you don’t always see the parking lot and there aren’t many riders around during weekdays so be careful not to get lost. The area also has ATV trails that you want to avoid as they are mostly sand traps.
I found the directions posted below useful to get to the area but still couldn’t find the parking lot on my own. I was lucky to find a local rider who guided me to the parking. Even this guy was unable to give me directions to get to the parking lot alone so do yourself a favor and ask for directions. Ride on!

Cross Country Rider Summary: excellent intermediate trial. i didn't have a map so am unsure of just how much trail there is but.......
this is excllent winding , twisting ST trail system that that covers the area. excellent signage keeps you on track. ST is bikes only. there are cycle and jeep trails criss crossing that you can ride. trial is packed sand and smooth gravel. very few rocks except in technical sections near hills.
generally you ride up a low slope winding ST to base of Donna Ana Hills and then cut across hills. there are a few tuff technical sections but any intermediate rider can handle them with ease.
this is a good one for beginners and intermediates. you can ride at any speed you can muster. carpark is always in sight so you can't get lost.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is awesome!! The single track is great. An awesome combination of uphill and downhill stretches. Depending on the route you select, you can make it as easy or as technical as you want. A few sandy portions and some gravel filled arroyos make it a challenge, as well as a few pretty technical, rocky climbs. Overall a blast for anyone who does it for the workout and the fun. One particular section called "rollor coaster" has rolling hills that are fast and fun. Watch your speed though, there are some deceptive hazards there that can spell disaster. 6am is the best time to ride to beat the heat. Go Early, don't go alone, and go have fun!! Recommended Route: Take I-25 exit 9. make right. first left then first right again. follow this until it ends, make a left then next right. follow this past a cattle guard and on until you see a parking area on the left. Single track picks up from the northeast corner of the parking area. from there you will come to several jeep trails and fork in the single track. The route you take is up to you but it's best to go with someone whom knows the trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Sierra Vista Trail

Cross Country Rider Summary: THis is a really cool trail, and offers a good view of the valley. This trail can be flat and long at times, but has alot of variety. The trail is really fun to come down, and quite a workout to ride up, especially if your riding all the way the base of the DA's. There are tons of trails out here so its impossible to review one. But the majority of them have really good climbs and descents and are a blast. Important to watch out for people shooting because theirs a few mohows that go out there and do that. Recommended Route: too complicated to explain all routes. Basically take I-25 and take the Dona Ana exit. Head left on the first dirt road you hit, stay left on it and follow it a ways until it leads to a parking area, you recognize it because it's surrounded by embankments. THe trail heads east, and is not singletrack at first but is recognizable. Other recommended trails in the same area: Robledos, Redd Road, Tortuga mountain, there are other and there all cool.
