 2 of 5

Also known as three bears. The trail is an old jeep road just W of the Guaje Pines Cemetary that continues up to Guaje Ridge and to the upper trail heads of Cabra loop and Pajarito trail (both at N35 55.564-W106 17.728). It also intersects the Guaje Ridge trail at ~
N35 55.606-W106 18.203. The trail is covered in loose grave and is rutted in places. Elevation at cemetary is ~7280ft, highest point is ~7780 ft.

Summary:
The road is probably the fastest way to get to the top of Cabra Loop or Pajarito trail. The climb is steep and somewhat challenging because of the gravel, but it's mercifully short (~30 mins). Then you can enjoy going down Cabra or Pajarito. It's also the fastest way down from Guaje Ridge, but outside of trying not to crash on the gravel, there's little excitement to the descent.
