, from Albuquerque Summary: I usually use this path as a work out for distance BUT there are some small trails to the east of the bike path that aren't too bad. I took my five year old and he had no problem riding throught the trees, we had to walk him over a few hills but for the most part we really enjoyed this area..We usually ride from Alameda south past Montono..or further fall is beautiful in the bosque.. Recommended Route: There is a parking lot on the south east side of Alameda and the River. Other recommended trails in the same area: ELENA GALLEGOS!!!

, from Albuquerque Summary: This trail has many areas where the trees ar too low and it is very tight in places, so it slows you down. A lot of it seems like a BMX trail, as there is much technical terrain than the Corrales Bosque Trail. This is a good winter ride in the burque, when the upper elevations are still wet. Recommended Route: Head south Other recommended trails in the same area: Corrales Bosque

, from Albuquerque Summary: This is a pretty good ride for kids and beginners and a nice break from serious, rocky downhill/uphills trails. It's all relatively flat so you won't kill your out-of-shape friends. Lots of curves and bumps to make it a bit more exciting. Beware of several low-hanging helmet testers, so keep your eyes open and your head down. Can be sandy if it hasn't rained for a while. Don't forget to stop under I-40 and skip a few rocks in the Rio Grande. From parking lot to Freeway and back is around 6 miles. Night rides are cool, but be extra wary of botanical decapitators! Recommended Route: First, it's better to park at the west end of Candelaria near the Nature center. Head west on thru the fences 1/4 mile. Go South on paved path for approx. 1/2 mile to bridge over the ditch. Straight west over the levy and start heading south in the single track. Bearing right on the way down keeps you close to the river and the best trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: The entire bosque (riparian area along the Rio Grande river) is laced with single-track trails, though some are quite sandy. If you want more challenging single-track, take to the Sandia foothills near Tramway Blvd.
