Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Roswell, NM Summary: Just one afternoon on these trails and I can't wait to get back. This is the site of a regional race in May. Recommended Route: Start in Campground 3. Head out on the logging road. It turns to singletrack and gets more fun as it gets steep. Pick the outside trail and it winds back to the campgrounds. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ft Stanton area; Haystack Mtn in Roswell; Osha trail in Cloudcroft

Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Ruidoso Summary: Bear right at all the "Y"'s in the trail. They all eventually end at the same picnic grounds. There is everything from beginner to advanced riding. Recommended Route: Drop in to the trail directly north of Smokey the Bear Ranger station. Pick up single-track headed west. There's a small parking area.
