Summary:
Rode this trail with bike here on thursday, killer climb but worth every effort. the fire here did a lot of damage here a little over a year a go, but this trail would be worht the effrot just ot see how nature replenishes her self. there are 1 to 3 foot tall aspens all over the upper section of the trailbeautiful but tough ride

Summary:
Ya.. This piece of single-track is beautiful! If the band Motorhead was a trail it could be this one. I can never get enough of this ride, some folks whine about it being a bumpy ride down. Well my advice is to go faster and forget about the bumps and get off on the endorphin induced orgasm! Now that there is no forest left the views are great and there is no shade in the summer.. oh well.. If you have questions about the rides in Los Alamos call DOME and ask for Scott.

Recommended Route:
Same as the other Recommended routes.. But towards the bottom it forks into a trail called the nature trail.. Killer section to hurt new riders.

Summary:
For a quick before or after work ride there is not a better loop than up Quemazon and down the Knap trail into Los Alamos Canyon. Then its screaming single track to the resevoir and down the road at an even greater rate of speed to the ice rink.

Recommended Route:
Sames as listed but if your not going on up to the Guaje ridge trail or upper pipeline then you must return down quemazon. (or pipeline but I'd rather shoot myself). But there is a third option that people seem to overlook The Knap trail into Los Alamos canyon.

Summary:
As others have said, excellent technical ride! Great way to enhance the skills as well as learning to ride anaerobic. Possible to clean it in the middle chainring on a good day in about 35 minutes. Have fun!

Typical route up the technical trail. When it hits Pipeline Road, continue up!
