Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Los Alamos Summary: I have ridden this trail before and after the fire. It was a great ride before and even better after. This trail now changes with every weather event. So be prepared for anything. Ride this trail early in the day to avoid being caught in inclement weather always come to this trail prepared to deal with the unexpected. Sense the fire you can be very exposed in many places. Best way to do this ride is hook up with one of the locals that knows the route. Full suspension is a blessing but a good tecnical rider on a hardtail will enjoy just as much just not as fast. If you like fast tecnical downhilling with rock drops and chutes that will take your breath away this is the trail for you. This is what freeriding is all about. There is heart pounding climbs no matter which way you take to the trailhead. But the reward is worth the pain. This trail is not for beginners. To enjoy this ride you must possess some skills as a Mountain bkier. Recommended Route: Talk to Scott at D.O.M.E.

, from Santa Fe Summary: I have been riding this trail for sometime now and it gives a big bone every time. After the fire the ride has only become more kick ass! It is more technical than ever, roots, rocks and fallen trees make it a ride that is not for the average cross country monkey. You need to be someone that will let it all hang-out to enjoy this ride, if you dont get hurt on this trail then you are not going fast enough. Recommended Route: Mikes recommended route

, from Santa Fe Summary: The steep rocky downhill portions are a little rough but still possible to ride, a little work would make it alot more fun. How about if we all get together next spring and have a work day? Recommended Route: I like the up Lower Quemazon t the pipe line road and down, linking to the Cabra and then the cross town...can't beat that ride.

, from LA Summary: After talking to some moto guys (and some old scouting friends who used to do maintenance) I think I should upgrade my review. The moto guys have actually done a lot of work to fix the trail up, apparently. Kudos. I still don't like some of the loose crap, but it seems to have packed down pretty damn well since last year. I'm sorry I doubted you, Guaje Ridge! You rule!
Recommended Route: Same. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lots. Go by the DOME.

, from los alamos Summary: This trail is awesome. Sweet as can be. Seems to hold snow on the upper 1/3 late into spring but a litte trudging never hurts. Actually I think Motocyclists rode it before us mountainbikers came on the scene. I first rode it back in 85 on a Diamond Back Apex and it was I thought going to hell then, but I rode it the other day and it has held up well.(except for the rocky tree rooted part)It could some work dudes. Recommended Route: Up Quemazon, then pipeline to the trailhead. Or for a quick descent from Camp May. Other recommended trails in the same area: Caballo Mtn.---You think Quemazon/Guaje Ridge trail is tiring check out the Augua Piedra Trail!!! You'll love it.
