considering where it rates 3 tires. Non maintained rail trail about 3.5 miles long with several road crossings. Many short side trails ending on private property. Peckman River actually quite attractive, unfortunatly trestle across it in bad shape. Would advise avoiding it.To access the southern half of the trail follow yellow blazes past the playground and ballfield crossing the river via a small bridge. you will be back on Little Falls Road. Straight ahead is Pompton Ave. where you initally turned right. Look left for RR overpass, Follow steps up overpass to access trail. Follow to Fairview Ave,turn around.... Nothing wild or wooley but at least it's a place to ride in the middle of all the congestion.

Summary:
Just got back from riding this trail for the first time. Decent trail for a beginner to an intermediate. If you really get pumping (which there's some room for), it'll give you a decent workout. But it's friendly enough that a beginner can just kind of cruise if they feel up to it. As for technical spots or any significant elevation changes, look elsewhere. It's really a walker's trail that happens to double as a bike trail. Good news is I got within about 10 feet of a deer today without even trying and I didn't bother it a bit, it just kept on eating. They don't seem to mind at all, so that's a plus.

Overall, check it out, it's fun, just don't expect to be doing anything crazy.

Recommended Route:
I went from the park and took a right to cross the bridge, hit the high school and then turned around, hit the RR and then back to the park entrance. Might make more sense to start at the highschool, I'm going to try that next time.

Summary:
this trail is good for a beginner like myself it has some short trails off to the side between bowden rd in cedar grove and lindsly ave in little falls that can be pretty fun. overall i get a pretty good workout,up in verona where the trail ends by the high school you can cross the street theres a fire rd up the moutain with a couple of cool short trails on the way back down they are short but still fun just have to keep your eyes open and look for the trails. on the main trial that runs from little falls to verona there can be alot of walkers, overall its not a bad place to ride if you live in the area this trail is not for the hardcore type if your looking for a decent mostly flat easy ride with a few little side trails its a good ride

Summary:
This was my first time on this trail. It was not bad however, most of it was kind of flat or up hill. There was only 1 spot where I was able to get some speed. Also not much in the way of any challenging or technical sections.
It's not far from my house and will probably go back again.
It's a great trail if you are not looking for a difficult workout.

they redid the trestle across the peckman creek. its nice now.
i'm also gonna reccommend picking up the trail on fransisco road in little falls.... just a little bit down the hill from the train tracks.
theres also a really cool high ridge part with water on either side of you.
thats my fav part. it goes behind a creepy mental hospital too. fun ride just to goof around on.
