Weekend Warrior Summary: Diablo is sick,
whoever said it's not technical enough I would hope is winning some Norba DH races. The rock Gardens beat you and your bike up pretty bad, I've seen more than my fair share of bent rims, broken cranks, and derailers hanging off. There are a lot of rock gardens. A lot of ruts (but is that a bad thing?) trails are maintained VERY well, there are bigger berms and more jumps this year. Two things I would like is a trail map, because I only found a few of the many trails people talk about, and some drops, it's so rocky and technical that there aren't many fast fireroad sections or sections with big drops, none that I found at least. Other recommended trails in the same area: Plattekill... I haven't been there yet but want to go sometime soon, I heard its pretty sick

Downhiller Summary: I agree with jerseychumba...platte was fun like 3 years ago when MC was closed. The flow at diablo is second to none, the jumps are amazing...no other place on the east has jumps or berms like Diablo...Platte would be fun if you are an oldschooler that rides monster ts and just bashes rocks all day...if you like to jump and go fast Diablo is the best. Recommended Route: Dominion!!!! best trail ever Other recommended trails in the same area: not plattekill

Downhiller Summary: Hey Jerseychumba I like that you really described the good qualities of Mountain Crap/Creek...naa you would rather bash Plattekill. I guess you are one of those guys who wheres all the gear and talks all the talk and then thinks 3 foot drops are the best on the east coast.
And yes I did every single one of the trails and still came up with my opinion of the place.
Yeah well if you are a beginner downhiller Diablow:) Park is the best mtb park in the east. Think about it for a bit and you will realize that the best mtb park in the east would not exist in New Jersey?!?! Recommended Route: Snowshoe WV Other recommended trails in the same area: Jersey shore boardwalk

Downhiller Summary: sivarthuns...your clueless...its obvious you didnt hit all of the trails at Diablo....Diablo is better than plattekill in every way possible. Unless you like spending the day riding the lift, then plattekill is a better choice since the lift sucks!
Diablo...best mtb park in the east. Recommended Route: Dominion jump line Other recommended trails in the same area: not plattekill....SUCKS!

Downhiller Summary: I have to say Mountain Creek's Diablo Freeride Park was a bit disappointing. I was expecting to be challenged by these trails and was surprised at what I found. There are a lot of technical runs that jarr the living crap out of your joints and bike parts but nothing too difficult. I was extremely bummed by the lack of drops and decent sized jumps available. This is a freeride park right?!?!? Yeah right who are we kidding!!!. You sure would think so by the posers rolling around on $5,000 bikes with the riot gear on. It is seriously funny how many rich boy posers are on this mountain. This park would rock if someone would build some nice 5-10ft drops and a slalom course with some smooth doubles. Just put some effort into making it a "serious" freeride park. Recommended Route: Drive to Plattekill instead Other recommended trails in the same area: None that I know of
