Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Montclair, Nj, USA Summary: This trail starts of with a small hill going into single track for pretty much the rest of the way, having a couple jumps and one log. In my opinion don't bother with this trail when there are better areas to bike: listed below. Recommended Route: Go down watchung make a left on glenridge and go to the end of the dead end street. Go over the bridge and make a right on the path. the trail starts feet from the bridge. Other recommended trails in the same area: Eagle rock Reservation, Mills Reservation, South Mountain Reservation, Garrett Mountain Reservation, Rifle Camp Park

, from BLOOMFIELD Summary: THE "OH SH_T TRAIL". FOR US CRAZY LOCALS ITS A NICE LITTLE RHYTHM SECTION OF ABOUT 5 DOUBLES. NOTHING MAJOR, BUT FUN. THE BEST PART ABOUT THE WHOLE PARK IS JUMPING DOWN THE BLEACHERS. WITH A SPOTTER WE'RE LANDING ABOUT 5 STEPS FROM THE BOTTOM. DONT FORGET ALL THE DROPS NEAR THE KIDDIE PLAYGROUND EITHER. THE LAST THING THAT ONLY HARDCORE RIDERS SHOULD ATTEMPT IS DROPPING OFF THE BOULDER RETAINING WALL. IT'S ON THE RIGHT AS YOU EXIT THE PARK GOING TO WATCHUNG AVE. TRY IF YOU CAN, BUT DONT SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU.
Other recommended trails in the same area: STAY OUT OF THE PARK WITH YOUR 60LB DOWNHILL BIKE UNLESS YOUR JUST CHECKING OUT THE CHICKS. POLICE REALLY DOESN'T TAKE KIND TO OUR TYPE OF RIDING. HA-HA.

, from wall nj Summary: Forget Brookdale....Take Ridge Road past the Cedar Grove Reservoir. Turn left on to Francisco Ave. Look for abondoned RR tracks imbedded in pavement. and opening in woods. This is the Essex Branch Rail Trail. It was open when I rode it about two years ago. Mostly flat, hard packed surface ,suitable for all levels!
