Andy's Trail
4 reviews
3 of 5
This short trail starts off with a small jump over a stream and then continues into a small wooded area behind Andy's yard. This trail was started in the early winter of 2002, and has yet to be completed. Although work is still being done, a large part of the trail is open. Also note that the green you see from the trail is the golf course Jasna Polana, where you can ride at your own risk during the winter, when there are no golfers. You can easily find your way off the trail for a few meters to get onto the course. This trail so far just has a few logs, but in the future there will be a dirt jump, as well as some other things yet to be decided (possibly skinnies, let me know what you would suggest).
Go along Rosedale Road headed from Princeton and turn left onto Province Line Road. Continue down Province Line for a few houses. Andy's house is white with blue trim and the house number is 4247. His driveway is the red gravel one, but do not park in it, rather, park on the right side of Province Line Road. Walk down his driveway(but be careful not to get spotted, as Andy is always bored and has been itching to try out his new shotgun). Keep on going down past the white shed. Here you will notice a small jump over a small brook. You can choose to do the jump (in which case start your approach to the trail starting in the driveway) or you can cross the stream over the ladder which lays across it, or to the shallow part of the stream which is to the right of the ladder. The trail lays before you.
Summary: yeah i rode this trail once last year and i wasent that happy with it like i have no idea how it is now but then i dident like it but i had fun cruising on the golf course even thought i dont think your allowed on it well anyways yeah theres not too much and im not even sure if anybody still lives at the house

Other recommended trails in the same area: somewhere you can go wich is way bigger and probably funner but not the best is woodfield if you go out of the driveway from andys trail take a right then at the main road take another right then go alllll the way to the trafficlight and take a left then drive alllll the way to the next trafficlight wich should be at princeton day school and the road after that on the left go in there then all the way through till you get to a forked road take the second left and keep on following it you should pass a big field to your left and on the left there should be a sign at a curve saying woodfield it should be after the big field

Summary: Sorry to say but serious riders this isn't for you. I actually went here on the way home from work one day and man I'd been better off going straight home. Thank god I only wasted like 8 minutes riding through this whole 1/2 mile trail. Seriously it is a trail some little kid must have made.
Recommended Route: Straight back the way you came.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Nothing worth while in the Princeton area.

Summary: While the trail itself needs a lot of work, (and work shall be done on it soon) the best part in the winter is the golf course, Jasna Polana. How to get to and what to do on Jasna: Continue pretty much straight following the trail, and shortly after a 90 degree turn between two trees, a beaten trail leads to the golf course. The most interesting things on the course are to the right. Soon, following the path, you will see a small rocky cliff maybe 15-20' high. There are some beaten tracks down this cliff. While the trails look very steep, they are not so bad when you are actually riding them. At the top of the cliffs, there is a sidewalk near a house. If you follow the sidewalk straight and keep going straight when the sidewalk turns, and there is a long downhill section on the fairway that you can go pretty fast on. Be careful not to go too far to the right of the fairway, as there is a deep sandtrap hidden by a hill that I found the hard way (my knee has taken nearly three weeks to heal). Keep exploring the golf course and you will find tons to keep yourself amused with. You can also enter the golf course through a gate just after you turn left onto Province Line Road from Rosedale. In the future the actual trail in the woods behind Andy's house should become a lot better, but for now, you can just amuse yourself on them for a few minutes and then head over to the golf course. Do not try going onto the golf course in the summer, spring, or fall, as the course is open and many, many people will get very, very mad since this is one of the most expensive courses around.
Recommended Route: Since the end of the trail is not finished yet, the only way you can start the trail is by going over the jump or riding across the stream. While Andy does not have an antique gatling gun as stated by Mr. Spar, he does have a tendency to stab people with rusty nails, so watch out.

Summary: Single track about 1/4 mile long in a loop. Well maintained, but could use a tiny bit more vartiety. There are a few 1' high jumps over logs right now, but fortunately, in the future, he plans to build a log bridge, skinnys, and a dirt jump. An added plus: As Mr. Lord said, the trail backs on Jasna Polana, where there are sandtrap "bowls," drop offs, and steep downhill sections!
Recommended Route: The directions given by Mr. Lord are very accurate, except that Andy does not have a shotgun, it is actually an antique gatling gun. On that note: riding evasively won't help you aviod being pelted with lead.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Herrontown Woods, Autumn Hill, Princeton University, Palmer Square Plaza
