Shingle Pond Trail
1 reviews
 4 of 5

Nice, technical jeep road and single track to beautiful mountain pond. Climbs slighty more than 1000 feet. The return is sweet! Somewhat difficult to follow at start. At 1.00 miles from parking stay right at fork and immediately cross stream. At 1.10 miles, stay right at second fork, with trail sign. This turn is easy to miss! A couple carries are necessary. With a couple of bridges and a chainsaw this could be really great ride with no dismounts from top to botton.

Summary:
There's some great riding on this trail.
Not many views except at the pond. Tough climb with a couple carries due to one very wet spot, a difficult stream crossing and large logs over trail.
The return is all down, some techinical, some fast jeep road, very nice.
Could be combined with Weeks Brook trail and Green Hills trails like Red Tail or Black Cap Connector to make a killer loop.
I rate this overall a 4 for potential
after a little more trail maintenance.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Red Tail Trail, Black Cap Connector, Province Pond Trail, Mountain Pond Snowmobile Trail
