Summary:
Hi, as an update, the old entrance road and parking are are closed, the new parking area is around the corner about 1/2 mile to the to the west. There is also a new, blazed trail in the network. Here is a link to the town of Milford Conservation Commission map:http://milfordnh.info/conservation/hiking_frame.html

Recommended Route:
As above, with these new directions. The new road is W of the farm, there is a bit of single track to get to the main trail, and new trail off of the NE corner of the field, as well as to the E of the main trail after the bridge. both worth a look as they add some fun sections to the fairly flat riverside path.

Summary:
This is a mostly flat trail along the Souhegan river. There are a couple of very short climbs, and depending on which of the little off-shoots you take perhaps a good sized stream crossing. you can also come into or out of these trails at a couple of spots east of the main road in, across from the open field with a wooden bldg. set back about 100 yds from the road. Distance is only about 2 mi. if you figure a loop with some backtracking. we usually ride these early in the season when our decrepit bodies don't want to deal with hills yet. The grass can get so high in summer that it's not really worth it. The only real obstacles are roots, so I think it's good for beginners, too.

Recommended Route:
Same, or start off N.River rd to the east.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Try the Patch Hill/ Mayflower hill loops as described above-about 2 miles away. Also there is a loop starting off of the housing development to the east that has the big granite spire at the entrance-go into the development, past the chain link fence around the quarry turn right into the woods. About 200 yds in go left up a short steep trail that leads to a climb/descent loop. There has been new construction recently that may have encroached on these trails.
