Lots of fun singletrack. Lots of fun, easy double track and fire roads. This is where the UNH cycling team trains. And it is also where many families go and spend the day biking through the scenic fire roads.

Summary:
Above it says there is over 30 miles of trails? That is incorrect. I would guess 8-10 at the most. This is a fun after work ride. Is it the most challenging? No, but still can be fun. I like going here if I don't have time to go to Fomba or Fort Rock. If you want to bust some interval type trainging out you can make some nice little 2-3 mile loops. I usually get bored after about an hour though. This is an awesome place for beginner/intermediate riders though. I bring the family here to let them ride around too.
Beware of mud, especially along the stream. This area gets crazy muddy in the early spring and after long bouts of rain. Your best bet is to just go explore. Your never too far away from the lot or houses.

Enjoy.

Recommended Route:
Find Hicks hill across from the big red open barn. (behind the farm house) This is the most technical terrain at Kingman Farms. The switchback up to the top and your choice of 3 downhills. (Short but fun. This is where I usually spend most of my time. Ride up all the various trails to the top and you'll get a pretty good workout.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Blue Job, Fort Rock, FOMBA, Bear Brook, Pawtuckaway, Isinglass in Rochester.

No good Kingman maps online so I "updated" the only one I could find. Trails may not be completely accurate but trailheads should be close. Newer trails are highlighted. Go to www.internetxposure.com/kingman2.jpg

Recommended Route:
The newer trails need to get packed down so seek them out.

Ho hum...zzzzzzzzzz....are we there yet? Seriously, not too bad every once in a while, BUT, you gotta admit boys and girls, there are a lot better trails around this area to ride. I give this trail network a 2 out of 10. My grandmother could ride most of the trails here...and she's dead.

Summary:
Disregard Josh from Montreal's review..its more an editorial...If you are an experienced MTB rider then you may find Kingman a little slow but its worth it if you are looking for somewhere local to just buzz around for an hour. If you are a beginner then yes the trails will seem difficult but they are a great place to learn and work on your balance and get used to single track trails. If you are looking for hill climbs and screaming downhills, only one here other than that its flat. So depending on your skill level and what you want to do Kingman can be hit or miss.

Summary:
I posted a review of this trail a while ago and for some reason it is no longer here. I hate this trail system. It is boring, too many hikers with unleashed dogs, and there are practically no hills or technical sections. THIS IS A BEGINNER TRAIL, or a place to simply crank out rotations to get a heart rate up. If you enjoy riding on terrain that will challenge your bike handeling skills I recommend another trail (Mt. Agg or the College woods even) Oh and last time I ripped on this trail some little puke emailed me to tell me that I was wrong. I have since revisited the network, I spent a whole day there in fact in efforts to give that person the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I hadn't found the good stuff. Having grown up in Durham and ripped around Kingman on a bmx since I was 8 I stand by my initial review. Kingman sucks. Don't waste your time dodging hikers and birdwatchers. Ride a trail that actually has elevation gain and technical sections.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
I ride a 30lb hardtail with a 5in fork and big tires. This should be an indication of the style of riding I enjoy. For some really gnarley stuff drive up here to Quebec. Bromont and Mt. St. Anne both have superb biking of all levels, and the Gateneau hills outside Ottawa are beauty as well.
